HELP · LOCATION
Enable location for HeyFido
HeyFido uses location only when you tap the Current icon. We do one-shot location (not background tracking).
Quick check
1
Make sure Location Services are enabled on your phone.
2
In your browser, set HeyFido location permission to Ask or Allow.
3
Go back to HeyFido and tap the Current icon again. If permission is set to Ask, you should see a prompt.
iPhone / iPad (Safari)
1
Open Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services and make sure it is On.
2
Open Settings → Safari → Location → choose Ask or Allow.
3
If HeyFido was previously set to Never, you may need to reset site permissions.
Settings → Safari → Advanced → Website Data → search heyfido.io → delete → then reload HeyFido and try again.
Android (Chrome)
1
Make sure system location is on: Settings → Location.
2
In Chrome, open HeyFido, tap the lock icon in the address bar → Permissions → Location → Allow or Ask.
3
Reload the page and tap Current again.
Desktop (Chrome / Safari)
1
Click the lock icon near the address bar → Site settings → Location → Allow or Ask.
2
Refresh HeyFido and try again.
What happens when you tap Current
HeyFido requests location once, recenters the map, and stores only a short-lived "last requested" value for convenience. You can always switch back to Home or Explore.
